Naim announces boardroom changes

KUCHING: Naim Group of Companies has appointed Beh Boon Ewe, one of the its long serving staff as executive director with effect from Nov 26, 2020.

He will also hold the portfolio of construction division chief operating officer.

Group managing director Datuk Hasmi Hasnan said Beh’s appointment was a testament of the group’s bench of talent and succession planning.

“With Beh’s experience and exposure in the construction sector, he will add value to our construction arm in leveraging the opportunities in this sector.”

Naim will also welcome new chief human resource officer Lim Chang Hiang and chief operating officer (strategic planning and new businesses) Bryan Chen King Yu, who will be joining in Jan 2021 and Feb 2021 respectively.

Hasmi also thanked group deputy managing director Christina Wong Ping Eng, who will be retiring on Jan 1, 2021.

“Christina has served for 20 years and played a vital role in our group’s growth over those years. We thank her for her dedication and hard work, and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”

Hasmi said Wong would still be involved in the group’s charitable causes, adding that Naim appreciated such involvement as corporate responsibility remained one of its top priorities.

He said the group was still recruiting a suitable replacement for Wong and that he would temporarily oversee the responsibilities under the portfolio until a suitable candidate was found.

“We are happy to have Beh as an executive director, and Lim and Chen on board.

“With their depth of experience and know-hows, they will add value to our aspiration of building affordable and intelligent homes for one million people or more, and our plans for diversification.”
