Sarawak Minister For Housing Dato Sri Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari

It was indeed a memorable event when Sarawak Minister for Housing, Dato Sri Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari together with his Assistant Minister, YB Dr Soon Choo Teck and Permanent Secretary, Encik Gani Ugay made a working site visit to Taman Permai, Bandar Baru Permyjaya, Miri on 21st February 2005.
The minister was accompanied by top officials from Sarawak Housing Development Corporation (HDC) who was led by its chairman, YB Wahab Aziz and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Encik Wan Mohammad Wan Moss.

On hand to receive the visitors were Naim Group CEO and Managing Director, Datuk Hasmi Hasnan and Executive Director, Mr William Wei.

Apart from being briefed on the latest development at Taman Permai, the visitors paid a short visit to the first proud owner of the low cost housing scheme where a lion dance performance also made the event even merrier.

A symbolic handing over ceremony of the site was held and was performed by HDC chairman, YB Wahab Aziz to Datuk Hasmi Hasnan on behalf of Total Reliability Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Naim which is the contractor and sales agent for Taman Puteri.

Obviously pleased with the rapid development of the upcoming housing project, Dato Sri Abang Johari later toured the site and handed over house keys as well as the land titles and Occupation Permits (OP) to the respective house owners.

The visitors later on held a short meeting session at Naim’s Miri officer together with officials from Miri Municipal Council (MMC), Land and Survey Department and other relevant local authorities.

Lunch was hosted by Naim at its exclusive Prima Villa where a press conference was also held and attended by local journalists there.
