Naim’s Staff Donates 10 Wheelchairs To Sarawak Branch Of Persatuan Bekas Prajurit Malaysia

In the spirit of Merdeka Day celebration, Naim’s staff from Kuching, Miri, Sibu and Bintulu have donated 10 wheelchairs to the Sarawak branch of Persatuan Bekas Prajurit Malaysia.

The donation is part of Naim’s staff community related activities in aid of the needy and was conducted by passing the hat around.

A brief handing over ceremony was held at Wisma Naim of Jalan Rock on 26th August 2006 and on hand to represent the staff was Naim’s Senior General Manager, Charles Bateman while the association was represented by Encik Bungan Ak Ganda.

According to the association, the wheelchairs are for its members in many part of the State who are in need of such equipment.

Last year, a similar charity donation drive was also undertaken by Naim’s staff and was held in aid of an 8-year-old Japanese Encephalitis (JE) victim, Jereme Ak Sikad from Kampung Tapa Sain in Bengoh who is also paralyzed.

The donation for Jereme included a wheelchair and a one-year supply of powder milk as well as nutritional supplements that have lessened the burden of his farmer parents.
