Naim’s RM50,000 – a gift ‘beyond CSR’ for Lakib

BINTULU: Naim Group of Companies, through its charitable trust fund Tabung Amanah Naim, contributed RM50,000 to the Bintulu Muslim Charitable Trust Board.

Presentation of the donation was held at Masjid Jepak here recently.

Representing Naim at the handover was its senior general manager Charles Bateman, who presented the mock cheque to Assistant Minister of Tourism Datuk Talib Zulpilip, who is also Jepak assemblyman. Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem was among those who witnessed the event.

Commenting on the event, Bateman said Naim operated with a strong awareness of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

“We have a strong outreach programme to connect with the less fortunate members of the community, trying to assist them in ways that we can. We strongly believe in giving back to the society.

“This is beyond corporate social responsibility – this is from our hearts, driven by a passion to make a difference in people’s lives.

“We hope that our contribution would be able to facilitate Lakib’s noble efforts in assisting the needy such as widows, orphans and those living in poverty, and we look forward to a continuation of such efforts in time to come,” Bateman said.
