Naim extends defects liability period to 24 months

Naim Holdings Berhad (Naim) is extending its defects liability (or warranty) period to 24 months for all its properties from now onwards.
Announcing this at the launching of ‘Zero Defects, My Priority’ campaign yesterday, its managing director and chief executive officer, Datuk Hasmi Hasnan said the warranty period was extended for another 12 months upon the normal statutory requirement of 12 months.

“This means, we will make good any defects for a total period of 24 months following the handing over of properties to buyers. I believe Naim is the first developer in East Malaysia to offer the extended warranty period.

“This is a sign that we are confident of the quality of our products and from now on, we are aiming to achieve ‘zero defects’ for all properties,” he said.

The two-month campaign was launched at Naim’s new Kuching branch office at Rock Commercial Centre at Jalan Green here.

Hasmi said the campaign was aimed at reminding staff how important it was to maintain quality regardless bad or good time.

He hoped that by the end of the campaign, complaints from customers would be reduced to zero.

Naim Holding Berhad, has blacklisted and suspended few sub-contractors who did not meet with the requirement.

Independent non-executive director Datu Dr Abd Rashid Mohd Azis, deputy managing director Dr Sharifuddin Abd Wahab, senior vice presidents Suyanto Osman and Ahmad Abu Bakar and vice president Edmund Leong were present at the launch.
