Labour Day Celebration At Desa Ilmu, Kota Samarahan

A good crowd turned out for the annual Labour Day celebration held at Desa Ilmu in Kota Samarahan on Sunday.

Despite the heavy downfall earlier that morning, about 200 residents and staff members of Naim Cendera group turned up to participate in the exciting range of activities that were held there.

A tree planting ceremony was the highlight of the event and was performed by Datuk Hajah Jamilah Binti Haji Anu, wife to Federal Minister for Natural Resources & Environment, Dato Sri Haji Adenan Haji Satem.

Held for the third consecutive year, the annual event was aimed to foster cordial relations as well as understanding among the residents at Desa Ilmu.

In his welcoming speech, Naim’s Chief Financial Controller, Ricky Kho said the gathering is part of the group social and community related activities that can further promote good neighborhood spirit among the residents as well as those in the vicinities.

He added that future residents of Desa Ilmu can see for themselves that the neighborhood at the fast growing residential estate is excellent and the surrounding is conducive as well.

The tug of war competition between the residents and the organizers were the among the most hilarious events that were enjoyed by those who attended the rain soaked gathering but the lucky draw with over 20 prizes attractive also was eagerly awaited by many.
