‘Fun-tastic’ Labour Day for Naim branches

KUCHING: It was a ‘fun-tastic’ labour day for Naim Holdings Bhd, one of Malaysia’s leading developers and contractors, which held Labour Day celebrations at its Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, Tanjung Manis and Kuala Lumpur branches simultaneously on Thursday.

Naim’s head of Corporate Communications Caroline Yeo said this was the first time that such group wide Labour Day celebrations were organised.

“Previously, our Miri branch has always organised the celebration on a large scale as a gesture of appreciation to our staff and Bandar Baru Permyjaya residents for their support. This year, our other branches wanted to join in the fun, and as such, took the initiative to organise celebratory events as well,” Yeo said.

Leading the celebrations was its Miri branch, which organised an array of exciting activities such as the Labour Day Run, telematch, children colouring contest and karaoke session for staff and their families, subcontractors and also Bandar Baru Permyjaya residents.

More than 700 participants attended the event, which was graced by the Assistant Minister of Communications and Sports Datuk Lee Kim Shin.

Meanwhile, Naim’s Kuching, Bintulu, Tanjung Manis and Kuala Lumpur Labour Day celebratory events lined up ‘senamrobik’ sessions, exciting telematches and games, and futsal competitions for their staff.
