NAIM Holds ‘Topping-Up’ Ceremony for ‘The Peak’

BINTULU: Naim Group of Companies (Naim) celebrated the ‘topping-up’ of its ‘The Peak’ Condominium Homes here yesterday with a ceremony held at the condominium’s rooftop to symbolise the upcoming completion of the project.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated at the ceremony, witnessed by Naim chairman Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi, board members and senior management staff.

Also present were Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Utilities Minister Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Datuk Snowdan Lawan , Assistant Minister of Agriculture Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, and State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Amar Mohammad Asfia Awang Nassar. According to Naim, The Peak is currently the tallest building in Borneo, towering at 34 storeys.

It is the first residential development within Naim’s flagship integrated development in Bintulu known as Naim Bintulu Paragon. With a myriad of lifestyle facilities, multi-tiered security and 261 living units ranging from suites and studio units to duplexes and penthouses, this signature development is also the Merit Award winner of the ‘Borneo Star Development Award’ category at ‘Star Property.my Awards 2019’.

Naim Bintulu regional general manager Abang Mahathir Mohamed said ‘The Peak’ outdid other buildings previously regarded as the tallest in Borneo.

“The 28-storey Wisma Sanyan in Sibu was the tallest building in Borneo; it was later overtaken by the Sabah State Administrative Centre in Kota Kinabalu, which is 33-storey high.

“Naim’s ‘The Peak’ Condominium Homes is 34-storey high – making it the tallest building in Borneo at present and furthermore, this tallest building is located in Bintulu.”

Meanwhile, the ceremony also recognised Naim’s project team led by Abang Mahathir and appointed contractor Sunmow Construction Sdn Bhd for their efforts, as well as to one of Naim’s valued clients for her support towards the development.
