Halal Certificate for Bintulu Hotel Kitchen

BINTULU: The Fairfield By Marriott Bintulu Paragon Hotel has received the halal certification for its kitchen at the hotel’s ‘KAVA All-Day Dining Restaurant’.

The certificate was handed over by the director of the Malaysian Islamic Development Department  (Jakim) Sarawak and  a member of the halal certification committee of Majlis Islam Sarawak, Ustaz Hamdan Jar’ee to the general manager of the hotel, Derrick Felix.

In a statement issued today, Derrick thanked Majlis Islam Sarawak for the certification.

“The certification is beneficial to all guests as it encourages strict hygiene practices and food safety besides covering religious requirements. It will also help boost the trust and confidence of our Muslim guests dining with us,” he said.

“We embark on sanitisation of all public surfaces every two hours daily and maintain very strict cleaning processes for guest rooms after the checks-outs by guests. All these are in line with Marriott International’s global protocols,” he explained.
