Senior System Developer

JOB SUMMARY:

The System Developer’s role is to design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The software developer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.

 

JOB DUTIES:

The following duties are not exclusive and certain items require effective delegation in whole or in part to be adequately fulfilled:

  1. Converts software specifications into codes;
  2. Reviews, tests and evaluate new versions of software;
  3. Evaluating and implementing ways to incorporate existing or new technologies;
  4. Observing, testing, diagnosing and resolving faults in software;
  5. Understanding of workflow and processes;
  6. Work with business analyst in transforming business requirements into software products;

 

IMPACT OF JOB ON RESULTS:

Contributory (interpretive, advisory, or facilitating services for use by others in taking action)

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide guidance and to System Developers and Junior Developers to ensure project deliverables, timeline and budget is met;
  2. Responsible for the section’s KPIs and ensure service level agreement obligations are met.

 

JOB SPECIFICATION

Mandatory Requirements

  1. Degree in Computer Science
  2. Programming skills (essential) – PHP, Javascript, JQuery, Codeigniter, Laravel, Javascript Framework, Dot net
  3. Programming skills (added advantage) – C++, ASP, Java, J2EE, Filemaker
  4. Database – MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB

 

Desirable Requirements

  1. Good Interpersonal Skills
  2. People Management Skills
  3. Current on technology development
  4. Understanding of document controls
  5. Knowledge of project planning and management as well as its terminology
  6. Knowledge in MS Project, Primavera P6, Primavera Contract Management
