Naim exhibits stronger revenues for 2Q

KUCHING: Property and construction player Naim Holdings Bhd (Naim) exhibits stronger revenues for the second quarter (2Q), underscored by higher percentage of completion for projects undertaken under its construction division.

For the second quarter ended June 30, revenue was RM279 million against RM230 million recorded in corresponding period last year. On the other hand, the current quarter’s profit before tax (PBT) reached RM50 million versus RM52 million achieved in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

It also mentioned positive ongoing contributions from its associate, Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd, for the period.

Meanwhile, revenue and PBT for the current quarter were RM156 million and RM30 million, respectively, against RM123 million and RM19 million, respectively, in the immediate preceding quarter.

On dividends, Naim declared a first interim single-tier tax exempt dividend of five sen per ordinary share totalling RM11.847 million, in respect of the financial year ending this December 31, payable to shareholders on upcoming October 11.

The company fixed its dividend entitlement date for this September 20.
