KUCHING: Naim Group of Companies will be organising its first Christmas Charity Bazaar from today to Dec 23 to help raise funds for those in need.

The bazaar will be held at the Group’s street mall at Naim Bintulu Paragon at No.1, Old Airport Place, Bintulu, said a media statement yesterday.

Naim’s regional general manager for Bintulu Abang Mahathir Mohamed invited members of the public to patronise the bazaar, which will feature 30 stalls offering a wide selection of Christmas-related goodies, handicrafts and food with part of the proceeds going to charity.

“Christmas is a season of goodwill and we hope that our charity event will help bring in the festive cheer and at the same time lessen the burden of the less fortunate.

“We also hope that the Bintulu community will continue to support our ‘Giving Tree’ campaign which was launched recently.

“If you wish to donate back-to-school supplies, books, clothes and gifts for children, please drop them off at our Sales Gallery from 9am to 6pm daily during the campaign period,” he said.

Naim Bintulu Paragon has also dressed its street mall with magnificent Christmas trees, dazzling fairy lights and colossal ornaments and visitors are greeted by a rich red and gold picturesque scene, featuring a towering 40-foot Christmas tree set at the piazza area of the mall.

Besides the bazaar, shoppers are invited to join in various charitable and festive activities which have been lined up throughout the nine-day bazaar period.

These activities include caroling, choirs, balloon sculpture giveaways, baking demos, Zumba, ballet performances and many more.

To add to the festivities, ‘Santa Claus’ will also be making his rounds throughout the week, presenting great photo opportunities for children.

Another major highlight of the event is the benefit live concerts by Nading Rhapsody, Jerry Kamit and Zee Avi in the evenings of Dec 22 and 23 and donations raised will also be channelled to charities.
